Lance Sexton grew up around ballroom dancing with both parents being dance teachers. He brings 30+ years of dance experience as a world class professional dance competitor. His dance background includes extensive training with World and United States champions. He is certified as a Master of Dance Instruction and is registered as a professional dance teacher through the National Dance Council of America.
Lance has won numerous Championships and titles during his career. Lance is one of only a few professionals to win major dance championships in all four styles of Ballroom and Latin including Mid-United States Open American Rhythm Champion, Mid-United States Rising Star Latin Champion, Southern States Rising Star Standard Champion, and Illinois State (Chicago Star Ball) Open American Smooth Champion. Lance has also placed in the top three at the prestigious Ohio Star Ball, Grand Nationals, and the North American Imperial Star Championships.
Elena Smirnova is a professional dance instructor. In her early years, she tried many different sports like women's artistic gymnastic, rhythmic gymnastics, and figure skating, but it was the Ballroom dance that she eventually decided to stay with. Elena received her dance training overseas and in the United States where she is performing and teaching in both the American and International styles.
Elena is a registered professional with the National Dance Council of America. Today she is not only interested in her own dance career, but helping her amateur partners prepare for pro-am dance sport competitions as well dance exhibitions.
Among numerous showcase dance events, Elena performed at Dancing for the Space Coast, known as the largest fundraising event in Brevard County, and Celebration of Dance at the Maxwell C. King Center for the Performing Arts in Melbourne, Florida
